Where exactly is Playa Tivives?You will spend 28 days in a beachfront community, Playa Tivives, which is located in the Puntarenas Province. We are 60 minutes driving time north of Jaco and 80 minutes from San Jose airport (SJO).

Does the program cost include airport transfers?Yes! We have a trusted transfer company that will get you from the SJO airport to the program site in Playa Tivives.

What type of security can I expect at the program site?The Playa Tivives community, and the area in general, is quite safe! The house where we are staying is in a gated community with security 24/7.

What happens if I get hurt or need medical attention?Another great thing about Playa Tivives is the number of doctors nearby! There are also 3 major clinics and hospitals throughout the Puntarenas Province.

What will my accommodations be like?You will be surrounded by Costa Rican natural beauty! The program site includes an indoor and outdoor kitchen, an ocean-front activity space (for yoga and group activities), common spaces for hanging out, and quiet areas for reflection and 1:1 coaching. Shared rooms allow for comfort and space. There are indoor restrooms and showers as well as a wonderful outdoor shower space.

What is the cost for this 28-day program?Room and board, activities (1:1 and group), and airport transfers is $3,000 if you register by June 30, 2022. After that, the price is $3,500. Space is limited-- so register early! We can only accept 8 people. We require a deposit of $500 upon signing up. Full refund if you need to cancel by August 1st. 1/2 due by August 1st. Full payment due by October 1st. Air fare and a weekend adventure are NOT included.

Will I have the chance to explore other areas in Costa Rica during the program dates?Yes. We have a few excursion options that you might take advantage of during the 28-day program.

How much supervision can I expect?According to the Gap Year Association, Experience GO Gap falls under the category of "Supervised Independent- Level 3". You will have a "moderate level of staff support and mentorship with a trained staff person. You will flow between cohort dynamics and independence over the course of the program with curricular resources and support." (Source: Gap Year Association).
